Education
Education is the first and for most component of PMUS’s development interventions. So, it makes aware the people and makes literate. In these respects, it runs children education, adolescents’ life education, and adult education activities. So far it has been made literate 2350 adult women and 650 children and also developed school going habit. Still it has been running 10 adult literacy centres with the support of Department of Social Services, Department of Youths, Department of Women Affairs, Department of Labour and Child Affairs, ILO and 20 children education centres with the support of BRAC etc. It has been running 200 education centres for 5000 out of school children and providing basic education with the support of the Bureau of Non-Format Education (BNFE), Government of Bangladesh, which are continuing in Faridpur and Gopalgong Districts. It has also provided basic education and functional education to children and adult women group members with the support of CARITAS-Bangladesh.
