Income Generating Activities (IGA)

So far 5000 group members have been provided credit support with necessary training for undertaking different small and viable income generating activities like poultry rearing, livestock rearing, small shop keeping, floating business, handicrafts works, rice husking and processing, tea shop keeping, etc. with help of group savings, revolving funds, other donors, and other government supports. Now it has been revolving Tk.35,00,000/-. Under this activity many poor women have got employment opportunities and income earning and contributing for family economic development which has made them well accepted in the families and communities and also reduced gender discrimination and social diseases like polygamy, divorce, separation, torturing, abuse etc. They are getting social values, and participation in decision makings as they have become self-dependent and stand on own feet.
